She became known locally for her detailed pencil drawings and now works primarily in oil paint. Much of her pencil work is available as reproductions and cards. She accepts commissions in pencil.

Jana works from a home studio in Three Rivers, which is open by appointment. She also teaches drawing to both children and adults at the Courthouse Gallery in Exeter, CA.

Cabinart features drawings and oil paintings of Tulare County, including agriculture and the Sierra.

Jana and her husband, Michael, spend as much time as possible at their cabin in a remote part of Sequoia National Park.
